FINALLY!!! PAPERWORK IS COMPLETE

1/26/2010 FINALLY all of our dossier paperwork is complete and has been sent to China. Now we wait for a log in date, letter of acceptance, then travel approval. !! Yeah! We are thinking we will travel within 6 months to get her:) Hoping to get an update on her soon and more recent pictures.

Paperwork update

November 2, 2009
We received our paperwork back from the Houston Consulate. The State of Fl certified a wrong name so I have to resend that to them and then to the Consulate again. I sent the rest of the dossier to our agency AAC today! We also received our fingerprint appts today for Nov 19th. We are slowly but surely making progress!!

Adoption Updates

10/2009
  We have sent in our I800a so now we are waiting for approval from our government to adopt a baby from China. I do not know how long this will take. Hopefully we will get our fingerprint appointments soon. I have mailed off our other paperwork to the Houston Consulate yesterday.

Time line

7/29/09- Requested file for Leila

8/4/09- submitted pre-approval to AAC to adopt Leila

8/13/09- Preliminary application to adopt Liu Yun Wan (Leiia) submitted to CCAA on line

8/16/09- Homestudy update

8/28/09- Updated pics of Leila received and word that she is doing well

9/10/09- Initial approval from China to adopt her!!!! Happy Day

9/22/09- Homestudy completed

10/11/09- Sent in I800a to UCSIS

10/19/09- Rest of dossier paperwork sent to Chinese Houston Consulate

10/20/09- I800a payment cashed so I know they did receive it.

 11/02/09- Today we received our fingerprint appts for Nov 19th!! We are getting there 

01/26/2010- Dossier complete and sent to China!
